Panasonic Eluga Turbo has been announced in India at Rs 10,999. The smartphone supports 4G connectivity and comes in with 3GB RAM, a sort of new Standard for all the smartphones coming up in this price range.
The Panasonic Eluga Turbo features a 5-inch HD IPS display, a resolution of 720×1280 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. Interestingly, on the back panel, the Panasonic Eluga Turbo has Asahi Dragontrail Glass, which could well be a deal breaker, due to the back becoming a fingerprint magnet and also a discomforting slippery feel. Although it’s too early to tell anything about the in-hand feel without getting hand-on with the device.
The dual-SIM smartphone comes with a 64 bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz each, coupled with 3 GB RAM and an internal storage of 32 GB. Users can add another 32GB to the Memory via the microSD slot. The Eluga Turbo sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash with support for full HD 1080p video recording, and features a five megapixel front camera for the selfie shots. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, out-of-the-box with FitHome UI on top. The battery is 2350 mAh, which could well add to the misery of a power-user.
Other connectivity options include, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, LTE and 4G.
In terms of the availability, the smartphone will be available only on Snapdeal. Yes, you guessed it right, via flash-sales. Users will have to pre-register for the phone, and sales will start on January 27.
The Panasonic Eluga Turbo will come in Blue, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold colour options.
